Smith and Wesson pre model 20

Thinking about this one I found in a pawn shop today. Pre model 20 in pretty nice condition. Grips are nice and has jeweled hammer and trigger. Four inch barrel and priced at 490.00 your opinions on this one.

A 38/44 heavy? Yes anything pre-lock Smith and Wesson not in horrible condition under 500 is a great deal, and those are great guns

Too bad it's not original, 490 would be a steal for one but collectors aren't going to dig the trigger and hammer. Has it been refinished? I would look closely at that since it has other cosmetic changes.

Either way, a 5 screw N-frame S&W is worth that as a shooter all day long.

Finish appears to be original, has wear on the tips of the cylinder corners which are sort of rounded over and not a sharp corner. Maybe normal I’m not sure. Will try and get some pics tomorrow.
