Any recommendations on an inexpensive hand guard that'll work with a mil-spec barrel nut? I have a stock and sights in the box o' parts, but I've never fiddled with FF rails.
That is unreal!!
There are two piece aluminum rails out there. They install just like the factory handguard. The best rail for using the standard barrel nut that I have found is the Samson rail. Not cheap but very easy to install. Uses shims to get a good lock on the nut.
I bet shadowrider is right about that.
