So no luck yesterday at Conners Bridge or the park area. just 3 little dinks. They were cute though about 10 lbs or so. Dug some worms from an old fallen tree and caught 1 12" long channel cat and used it to make cut bait. Nothing wanted it so Headed to Webbers Falls below lock 16 to snag and try some cut catfish for bait. Got there about 3:45 PM. Caught 5 nice keeper catfish there about 2500 feet down stream. And son got 5 nice paddle fish and 1 really small one about 7 lbs. One paddle fish had a tag in it's bottom lip from the wildlife department. He recorded the number and we let it go. We let them all go as catching is more fun. Long trim and lots of driving for sure. Son is a truck driver and was at the TMZ terminal in Joplin right off I44 and his truck was being serviced so he was sitting still for a day and a half. I headed up there at 5 am yesterday and got him and headed out fishing. I dropped him off back at Joplin at 2:30 am got home this morning at 5:30 am I have cat fish fillets in the ice chest for dinner and then some. Good fishing trip for sure. He was supposed to send me pictures but I have not got them yet. Wish I had brought my shad net.
