So I did thing this morning…

I received my Service Grade M1 Garand from the CMP recently.
The muzzle looked it was drug on a concrete road.
It shot pretty good, but the muzzle was just ugly!
I crowned the muzzle, much better!

I just crowned it this morning.
I’ll try to get out today and check any change in accuracy.

So…I feel the the accuracy increased a bit.
Not as much as I expected.
Further testing is in order.
25 yd zeroing targets below.
The target on the left was shot with original ugly crown.
The target in the right was shot after I crowned the muzzle.
I was able to hit a small pepper popper 200 yards away. Hit 7 times out of 8.
Not bad for me.
Top five grouped well. I think the lower three were me.
‘70’s HXP Greek Ammo.
Oh, the target on left has a couple 45 acp’s thrown in. I didn’t know I’d be posting the target to the forum.
