That's another thread but long story short I'm gutting my .308 rifle and materials to build a 6.5× 47 Lapua

I was looking at the 6.5 family and x47 or x55 or x284 and i was pushing towards the 6.5x55
But i bet any would get the job done.
600yards seems to be the limit on the 6.5x47 ,, now that was just some brief reading mind you.

The 47 Lapua can be pushed further than .308

So, after a few months of buying parts and waiting for it to get built, yesterday I got my "Remington" back and a few rounds loaded.

Remington action
Benchmark 1:8 @ 24"
PTG bottom metal
Night force 20 moa rail
Bell and Carlson A5 Medalist stock.

No, rem could get their crap together, so I had the smith look the action over but I just bought a 6.5 barrel and had him rebuild it.
