I stand corrected then. I do own a Jeep and wish they had the Wrangler in diesel or a V-8.

The new Ford Rangers will be out soon, even a Raptor version of the Ranger. The US model will get a small gasser, the "everywhere else in the world" model will get a small twin turbo diesel............

Chrysler probably faked the emission results here as well. The test must be so strict, that they cannot be passed. Sounds like an obama era type policy to me.
Basically a lot of it went to their retirement system for retired workers that could retire early with almost full pay and paid medical, living for 30 years or longer after retirement.
After awhile it caught up with them.
That’s another reason companies that used to offer pensions like the auto companies, shifted to a 401K program.
The company I retired from saw the writing on the wall and got out of the pension retirement system in 1999.
