Sooner Guns & Gold was the Norman location, they are the only one that closed. SSP North & South are still open.
Okay. I was mistaken and was thinking about Sooner State Pawn.
I do not know the situation and I am sure there was spin control to control the message. However in my profession I would venture to say that a gunshop with guns, ammo, and accessories more than likely wont cut it unless you have a gun range or other revenue streams. This is why I believe they should have opened a pawn shop with guns. With online prices I am not sure how most gunshops can stay in business.
Always liked Sooner Guns & Gold. Always friendly and helpful on sales and transfers. I would think that if they were a pawn shop also they would probably still be open. The gun shops with indoor ranges seem to be making it even with them being higher priced than regular gun shops.
I am going to miss the Sooner Guns. Very handy when I am in Norman to see grandkids.
