Interesting design. I don't understand the purpose in the combination bolt/semi auto, but unique nonetheless.

I have a 10/22 like that: it starts as a semi-auto, then becomes a straight-pull bolt gun as it gets dirty.

Not quite unique, there was the Stevens Model 87B. I have always hoped that Ruger would eventually make a 10/22 version of the Model 87B--intentionally/mechanically operated bolt action and not the dirty gun operated variety: :wink2::rollingla

I have several of the Model 87s and it's fun to run .22lr in semiauto and then load up a tube of 22 shorts and run it as a bolt action.
