I’ve never got to shoot one let alone own one.

Neither have I. I think the most reasonably priced are the Russian reworks and the east German VOPO lugers. One day I will own one.

Many moons ago I had a chance to get a Broomhandle Mauser. Unfortunately, It was in .30 Mauser(wanted a 9mm) and it was priced a little bit more than I could spend at that time. I still regret passing that on that Broomhandle Mauser because I didn’t get it and I never found the 9mm either.
