The example that Sootch is using is actually a police issue model. It has the extra sear safety riveted on the left side. They are actually worth more than the military version. I have a 1940 police model. I also have a 1974 Interarms continuation model, that has the Swiss grip safety. Love 'em both!!

Mine seem to do the best with 124gr ammo.

Dennis hit steel at 300yds with it at the Ponca City long range ENS.

I’ve never got to shoot one let alone own one. :crying:
I was at Wilshire range a couple years ago after they opened on the pistol bay.
Shot my .44 mag full load that is a flame thrower in the 100 yard bay.
The only other person in that bay came over to see what the heck was being shot as well as one of the employees. LOL!
Other guy had a luger that was captured and returned during WWII by a relative.
He told me that German military that were captured after Normandy would break down the pistol to the barrel and action. The luger does not require anything but the upper to fire.
The Germans would hide the upper in the "private rear pocket", take it out and shoot an American, then throwing up their hands to surrender.
ROE said to not return fire on a surrender.
