I have one and it has always worked for me using Unique and other stick powders.
I have not tried any ball powder. I did set up a brass door knocker to flip up and let fall on the stand after I pulled the dump handle. for me it does two things. One, it insures all powder is dumped in the cartridge, two, it sets up the powder in the reservoir for an even dump. I check about every 20th charge to make sure I am still dropping the correct grs.

I have one and use it for .30-06. It does a great job and maintains adjustment well. I use C Clamps to hold it down on the bench right next to my press.

I usually use my dillon measure and do so on the press, but for my .30-06 which is a lower volume reload for me just because I don't shoot as much of .30-06 and can't justify the dillon powder measure for it. The Lee works great.
