In addition to the J.M. Davis museum, we have another even closer to you. The 45th Infantry Museum is located just east of the intersection of NE 36th and Martin Luther King Blvd in OKC. Excellent displays of military hardware (tanks, trucks, aircraft of all kinds), firearms (dating back to Revolutionary War times), and much more. Plus, it is free, but they do try to encourage donations.
With regards to the J.M. Davis Museum, does anyone know if they allow photography within the museum? 45th Infantry allows photography so long as one does NOT use flash.

They have collections of other things besides the guns. Beer stein mugs, posters etc. Nooses that hung criminals. Interesting place and
also while in Claremore visit the Will Rogers Memorial for lots of his things.
they also have an M14 with a happy switch
That’s a great idea Dennis. I’d do my darndest to make the date.
If I'm in town, I'll be there!
I've wanted to go, just never found the time. I'm in as I live just 20 minutes away as well.
Great idea! I haven’t been back since I moved to Claremore.
We have some good eats too now. Both Main Street Tavern and J Farley’s offer a broad range of food.
Rons is pretty daggum good too. That Double Big Daddy cheeseburger has just the right amount o greasiness!
