Spencer Repeating Rifle Model 1865, serial number 21XXX, caliber .56-56. Made by Burnside Rifle Co. Has original sights, saddle bar & ring and original stock. Lever action works as it should as does ammo tube in the stock. Real piece of post-Civil War history. Thats all I know about it. Was given to me by a family member. They bought it at a gun show. Feel free to ask questions and I’ll do my best to answer them. Will meet up for inspection and sale at NW Highway & Piedmont Rd. in NW OKC. Reasonable offers considered.

Had the south got this rifle sooner, the war would have drug out longer. Possibly changed some outcomes. To me, this rifle missed being just as famous as the trapdoor by a few months.
