So I picked up a new truck last week. Pretty happy with it, but the one I found does not have a bedliner or coating (which is a bit odd, as so many have a factory coating new from factory now).

I have a couple places in mind, but without throwing them out there as I want my question open ended... who do you recommend in the Tulsa area? And also what's it cost roughly these days? 5.5' bed, basic black coating, all under rail (since my bed rails are all capped in plastic anyway, like most trucks these days).

Also, considering an inexpensive tonneau, like a hard or soft tri-fold, to throw on to cover my luggage on family road trips and around town, but also be easy to remove when doing real work truck work). I see soft tri-fold are around $200-250, and a hard tri-fold is closer to #450-500. Anyone have experience with these and what would you recommend? I've been seeing reviews on Amazon and YouTube but looking for more recent first-hand accounts.

In the same boat but in OKC. Asked a friend who is a mechanic (a good and very successful one) the same question today, he recommended Bullet Liner, said it's about $300. Now, I can't confirm that yet, but trust his recommendation enough that I'm calling tomorrow to get on their schedule. He said if I didn't go with them he'd recommend a hard cover and a bed rug...

    Good luck!

I've been really satisfied with Line-X. I'm tough on truck beds, in three trucks, never had one fail yet.

So the two I had in mind before this thread were named.

The Bullet Liner dealer is the one that was recommended to me, so good to hear a 2nd recommendation for their products. Line-X was the top choice back when these first really got popular 20 year ago, but I wasn't sure if they were still choice or if others had caught up to them.

Hands down Line-X. It's a "hot" process involving a two part epoxy IIRC. I drive over from Stillwater and use them. They are at 44th and Mingo. I'm not sure what it costs, they will give you a number if you call them.

Man, had a buddy that had a Gatorhyde franchise but sold it. I helped him do two of my trucks for material cost. Used Line-X on my last one. Been happy with it.
