Just about done burning for the year. I’ve been in one of our trucks almost every day for the past 12 days. . Got 3 pastures left that either need a north wind or else will backfire about 1 1/2 miles. That part sucks. Just eating smoke the whole way. I’m ready for green up.

We didn’t burn a single acre this year. The rain and wind kept us messed up and then green grass set in. Maybe next year.

How do those retired ARFF trucks do? Buddy that has a large ranch in Sedan has been looking at some. He's more "flinty" than the Osage.
Not bad. Work well on long stretches of back burning or putting out the upwind side of a fire. But they can be a pain in the butt if you get in a tight spot. Major drawback is they leave horrible ruts if it's muddy and when they get stuck they are stuck!
