I have wanted to add a 9mm 1911 to my herd but haven’t had a chance to try one out yet. Might try to get my foot in the door with a rock island.

Think 10mm is my favorite 1911 round right now.

38 super was made in like the 1920’s for 1911’s. Don’t have one of those yet.

Yep, I don’t reload or I’d have that, a 9x23 Winchester, and a 9x25 dylan, .460 Roland, and the .50 gi.

Are we talking a hi power copy or high power ammo? If its the browning hi power copy they mare one years ago called a h9. I had a friend that had one that the safety had fallen out so i ordered a replacement from eaa. Which is where Springfield sent for the parts

If it's a Hi-Power? Absolutely. Wish it was FN but they don't seem interested in it any more.

If they gay it up with some grip zone crap..... all bets are off.

I thought Springfield made a few prototypes of the Hi Power several years ago...didn't think anything came of it. I recall seeing a picture of it floating around the internet at some point.

I'd buy a Springfield High-Power right away. Before I went polymer, I carried a South American clone for quite a while. Whenever someone asks me what is the best 9mm 1911, I say a High-Power.
