Springfield XD sight installation

Any recommendations on a good Gunsmith to have a set of sights installed? Broke my sight slider trying to remove these. OkC area.

Some factory sights are driven in with a machine press and are very tightly fit as it sounds like you experienced. I’ve heard that some people will resort to cutting through the sight to remove it from the slide.

XD's are notorious for being extremely tight. When you put it in the sight tool, there is a 50/50 chance that when you hear the "pop" it's either the sight or a slide rail. Jus' sayin'......

What smith did you use & are you happy? Im looking for a smith in the city to install a set sights on my m&p.

I guess I got lucky when putting night sights on my XDM. Was a nightmare to get off, but I managed to make it happen.

Earl Vickery.. Edmonds Arms. Has a shop behind his house. Did a quick and great install on the sights.

I have done 3 on my xd’s and xdm’s and had to cut 1 front sight to remove. They are very tough to get off.
