Spyderco is like a razor, but Benchmade is my EDC. And had the Kershaw 1st - by far the lightest. The Benchmade just feels so solid, plus the one I’m used to. I’ve thought of carrying the Syderco… just too darn purty, and might cut myself..😉 Plus I wished they closed the same, I always go to the blade side first, and it’s on the top of Spyderco Para 2 Military. Guess I NEED an OTF.. 🙄🤷‍♂️

My very first quality folder was a buck and then a Spyderco Delica, I had a spyderco pig, over the years I have owned a wide variety of folders
Spyderco
Cold steel
Benchmade (griptillion, autos, infidel off)
Microtech (otf)
Old timer
Celt
And kershaw, which I currently carry (an $11.00 spring assist) I also have a 2nd favorite carry a Crkt neck knife (I use it constantly, so stinking handy).

I don't think I've ever owned one. My current carry knife is a Kershaw Ken Onion Chive --- very smooth action, and very sharp.

40 odd year ago I got a Jack Guess pocket knife. Jack was a machinist at American Airlines in Tulsa, and made great knives on the side! I used a knife back then a lot, and would just do what ever needed doing with what ever knife I was caring. After a couple of years of this rough use, it blade was in bad shape. My teenage son told me one day, I wish you wouldn't do that kind of stuff with that neat pocket knife. I want that when you die, and you are going to have it warn out! I got a cheaper knife, and sent this one back to Jack, and he cleaned it up, and installled a new blade, I put it up in my gun safe, and it will look like a new one when my son gets it!
