I have been looking at you tube and google all day about wolf and tulamo out of a AR 15 and it's so torn between being ok to shoot and not to shoot has anyone had problems from this ammo or do you stay clear of it
3 of my buddies who have tried steel cases in their AR have gotten stuck cases with each of them. Maybe not on the first mag...but it happened and was a MOFO to get the stuck case out.
If you shop around online, it may be possible to get a good price on some factory reloads. I just looked at slickguns, and re manufactured brass case can be had for two or three cents a round more than steel case.
It depends on the gun. Some, like the AK, SKS and my CZ 527 bolt-gun do well with them; they are, in fact, designed around the use of steel-cased ammo. AR's not so much.

I used to shoot it, but don't anymore. Like brass better. Never had any probs either.
Don't even own an AR... but there's going to be wear on something when a cartridge goes in/out on a semi-auto (or full auto).

None of our AR's seem to like the steel cased ammo in .223 or 5.56. I can run 9x19 steel all day long in the pistols, but feed it to the AR's and it's taking me to jam, mis-feed and stuck city. In the past year I've only bought brass cased since it's not worth the headaches.
Its hit and miss. When I was shooting it they would get lodged in my mini 14 and ruger ar556. But I had an anderson mutt build and PSA that didnt give me any grief.
