For some equipment I have on remote property I have hidden inside the equipment an “air tag” They are the size of a quarter and easy to hide. If a cell phone or Wi-Fi comes within 30’ or so it will connect and tell me where it is. Most thieves have cell phones.
Don't those air tags also alert Iphone users they are being tracked?

A 1-ton pickup and a gooseneck, or even a car hauler, could do it. There's not a lot of security in tractors, and it's not difficult to get keys for them--it's not like they have unique ignition keys with anti-theft features.
I’m more curious about the dynamics around how someone had access to it, was it left in the open, was behind a locked gate, was no one around?
