As always these threads degrade quickly into high school level insults and bickering. So to participate but hopefully at a slightly higher level I will add this.... the gun is always your responsibility if it is IWB, laying on the floor in 3 year olds bedroom, or in the console on that F-150, it is your responsibility. If you want to have a deadly force option in your car either have it on you or practice getting it from the hiding place and on a threat without sweeping the muzzle over your legs, crotch, or a passenger. You will not “rise to the occasion” when your blood pressure hits 200 and your pants are full of ****, you will default to your training. if you must occasionally leave a firearm in your vehicle get rid of the Glock, Sig, and AR decals on the back window, and lock it up. I Carry everyday...pants on gun on. And I go places where I cannot legally carry so I have a lock box that slides under the drivers seat. Years ago I had a S&W 686 stolen from under the drivers seat in a locked vehicle, while parked in the driveway at a friends house in Odessa Texas. Several days later it was used in a crime. This will Never Happen to me again.... never..
