On a side note, how hard is it to get your FFL?

Establishing the LLC and dealing with the business/tax side is the biggest pain IMO. The application and interview process isn't too bad.

Networking with other FFLs can definitely help get contacts for assisting with establishing accounts with distributors.

The profit margin isn't great for small folks but if you've got time and money to invest in a business it will definitely help. You just need to be mindful of the regular monthly fees associated with payment processors, web hosts, etc.

I use Patrick for all my transfers....have for a long time....he's good people. I spend plenty of money at local stores but I figure I'd rather give money to him on transfers.

One more vote for Patrick at BANG. Easy doing business with him and he takes beautiful photos at the track (in case you like dragsters... At worst its something to look at while you wait..)
