Straw purchase question

An FFL cannot sell a firearm to an individual with a medical marijuana card. Possession of the card assumes use of marijuana and precludes eligibility to purchase a firearm. Doesn’t matter that the state approves medical marijuana or not. Federal law controls FFL/4473 rules and marijuana possession is still against federal law. I once had a buyer give me his Oklahoma medical marijuana card as prof of residency. No sale.

Not sure about that, what if someone got the card, but never used it? My neighbor had back pain issues, got the card but never bought any pot. Neurontin seemed to work for him Instead. Never possesses or used pot. I think he would answer the 4473 questions truthfully & legally since he never got the pot, yet still had the card.
