SECURITY GUARDS PERIOD!
That isn’t working. There are real officers in the schools now. The kids act up, the cops come in and try to do what the teachers aren’t allowed to do that escalates to force.

Then, the incident makes the news because every other kid in class is filming with their phones. The parents sue and the cop and teacher are thrown under the bus and fired.

That’s the system we have now.
Parents have scared the boards and our admin (principals) are told to give 2nd third and fourth chances
That is what we see. The parents are vehemently defending the avoidance of accountability for themselves and their children and we have mechanisms in place (nonsense lawsuits that should be thrown out with prejudice and full legal bills passed on to the plaintiff) that reinforce this victim mentality. We go through a lot of effort to maintain a consistent message to our kids that victimhood isn't a good thing and is not a mentality that should be rewarded or praised. It takes a LOT to override the message of entitled fairness and tolerance to a fault when they see it all day, every day out in the world (not just in schools).

My favorite part is when other parents judge us for being "too harsh" on our kids and encouraging them to embrace adversity, learn from it, and move on. I think we have a huge issue with people forgetting they are raising adults not children. That turns into exactly what is complained about so much amongst conservative audiences, a bunch of children walking around in grown up bodies.

“Should” never equals will in the govt.
moron “adults” having kids is the problem. So until we have IQ based sterilization programs or restrict the freedom of individuals in this country (like they do in other SOCIALIST countries) to be stupid parents nothing will change.
**** just costs more when you have more **** to deal with.
WHO gets to decide who gets sterilized? The DUMBEST human being I have ever know, had a masters degree in statistical physiology, ( gave, and evaluated IQ test)!! He was on my shift at a refinery. The last evaluation I gave him said, " He is a risk to himself, and others, and is depriving some village of an IDIOT!!"

Several interesting proposals in this thread to solve the 'aggressive' kid problem, but I suppose that we could just let them run wild and do what they want while their parents enjoy their own lives also doing whatever they feel like doing . . . . . . ah, never mind 🤨

Unfortunately, like in most situations the bad overshadows the good. Bad parents, students who don't know what discipline is, burnt out teachers and horrible learning conditions will always lead to a horrible learning environment.

Well, as they say, these are the leaders of tomorrow. It has turned into a real mess to put it lightly. Even tonight, Del City played a game with Millwood and there was a fight and gunshots fired. Never would have happened a couple of decades ago.

No, you are not understanding. There needs to be one security guard standing beside a metal detector checking kids for guns. Kid goes in and is locked in between 2 doors and has to go past the metal detector until it quits beeping.

Keeping kids with metal objects out of schools has nothing to do with teachers and cops responding to a kid.

There are metal detectors at the schools. Guns aren’t getting in
