I've posted this before, I think, but want to kick this out to the group. I shoot often, as you see a lot of my targets results on the forum. I always shoot at 12 and 20 yards. (I have my reasons that I won't get into) but end up shooting more at the 20 yards because I like it and when I doing pretty good I'm just showing off Ha!. I've gotten pretty good at 20 but because I tend to shoot more at that distance, I'm not really getting better at shorter distances. I think a few (much better shooters) here questioned my choice of distance and I gave some stupid answer. I've been thinking about that and have always lived by the motto "always listen to the smartest people in the room". So lets hear it. I leaving for the range in about an hour and will be changing my shooting distances (and stick with it). I will be shooting, at the end of my range time, at 20 yards but a limited number of rounds. I want to concentrate on the lesser distances that will best be a tool for being a better shooter. I'm not planning to shoot at any distance closer than 10 yards, so the question is: 10, 12 or 15 yards and why? I say why because I'm a bit OCD and have to know why. Why 10 yards? What does it do to make you better. Same with 12 and 15 or other distances (sorry it drives my wife crazy too). Also if you could just pick one distance, which one would you pick? If you suggest closer than 10 yards please explain. This is a super knowledgable forum, with great shooters and I'm asking to tap into that resource. What say you OSA? Help and thanks.
