Surprising viewpoint from an old Metalhead

WASP was one of the bands I listened to back in the Metalhead days of my youth. For kicks I was doing some research on Blackie Lawless and found this article he wrote before the '08 election:

The article itself is too long to post here but the general idea is this quote:

In November 2008 he endorsed John McCain in the Presidential election saying, "I will vote for McCain, not because I believe in all he stands for, but as a mandate against Obama, to keep him from becoming President. Yes, I will cling to my guns and my religion, and continue to believe in the Constitution, the Cornerstone of our society and trust that this is STILL a "Government of the People, By the People, For the People"."

I have a new-found respect for the man.

Anyone see that made-for-TV movie on VH1 about the guy who fought against Tipper Gore et al over censoring music? This reminded me of that scene where Dee Snider walked in and owned everybody.

Oh hey, I found a video of part of the actual interview.
