tagging a deer

What does everyone use to tag your deer? with a lifetime license there is no paper to use? Thinking about a zip tie tag of some sort.

Duct tape. just like on a paddlefish

Yep, just write your info on duct or masking tape.

Printed up license, address, name, etc. Went to Kinkos/UPS store and had some credit card sized cards laminated and hole punched on one end, carry 1 in my wallet along with 1 zip tie in the dollar bill compartment.

I always used duck tape. I did purchase a custom carcass tag from Carcass Tag out of Norman. Pretty neat tag. It’s a plastic ID style that has all your info on it and you put it on the deer in the field and take it off once you check it in at the processor and reuse it on the next kill.

I use a paper key tag.

For a buck, I always print out a second copy of my license and duct tape it to the rack. For a doe, I generally write my license number on a piece of paper and duct tape it to a front leg.

I also use a carcass tag, but I usually have some zip ties and an old receipt in my truck, just in case

I have some tags from work for warranty parts. They are very similar to what dlbleak has.

If not those, I'd use tape.
