I sort of understand your problem, the closest range for me is 1 1/2 hour drive one way and sometimes i just want to be alone when shooting but fortunately for me i have access to 160 acre family owned land to do my shooting on. Now to your question if you have a small LGS around you might hang around and start a discussion with people and you might run across someone that would allow you to go shoot on some land they own once you become friends with them, its going to be hard for someone out of the blue to trust anyone just to come out and start shooting, and i understand that to cause the way people are in todays world the majority of the people dont care about other peoples property so it is hard to get people to trust someone. Years ago i had several ponds i would go fishing on and people started trashing the place up so the last time i showed up and stopped to let the owner know i was entering his property he had to apologize to me and tell he he couldnt allow me to go and i asked why and if i had done something wrong i wanted to know what i had done. He informed me it wasnt me but if he allow me others would want to go to and i told him there was no problem and i understood where he was going and thanked him and left.
