I for one do not. Thought about a taser a few years ago for my wife, but ended up getting her training and a SDA Card. My greatest concern was not the legality of using the taser in a self defence situation, but rather the civil consequences associated with it. Not sure how the law reads but it seems that everyone or their family sues for some reason after you defend yourself. So I went with the seemingly established precedents associated with the SDA cased that already exist.
I patrol tonight and if I remember I'll ask one of the officers about this. I believe just about anyone can carry a taser, but I'll check. Someone else will have you an answer before tomorrow I bet.
