This is the highest point in Missouri. I was not overly impressed. It's not much of a hike. I walk further to the bathroom at work. 5 1/2 hour drive from home. I have now been to the highest points in Oklahoma, Arkansas and Missouri. Kansas is next.

To me, the "mountains" in Missouri are just big hills.
Just a bit of Oklahoma trivia. The Arbuckle Mountains are the oldest known formations in the United States between the Appalachian and Rocky Mountains. They contain a core of granite and gneiss that date back at least 1.4 billion years.

At my old job, I had an employee that lived in Florida during the last bad hurricane. I called him and he said he was not going to evacuate because he lived near one of the highest elevation points in the state. I was relieved for his family until one of my other employees suggested I research it. I did and learned Florida is the flattest state in the country and he was barely above sea level.
