I believe some of these to be from the 50's.. one is a kabar in the pictures with the kabar sheath and the other two together is western boulder Colorado. The one that says kabar says 1233 usa.

Just wondered if anybody can tell me how old some of these are and if they are collectors. I's not selling them, but these are my grandfathers and was just curious.

I believe the 1233 is a fairly common "skinner" model from kabar.

The Western one might be a little more interesting. From what I can find, the stamp "Western Boulder Colorado" was used after 1950 and "Western USA" started to show up in the 60's.

I believe both western knives say western boulder colorado. I was told he thought he got them in the 50's. I'm confused does western make the kabar? Because the kabar looks just like them.

Ka-bar is/was a company, not just a type of knife (The famous USMC ka-bar), I don't think there's any shared lineage between the two companies.

Western and Kabar both made skinner or "trailing point" style knives which these all look to be.
