I agree with most of what has been said here, but there is at last one more aspect to this. "Military age men" can also be described as "employable age men", and it certainly seems that we have a need for people that will go to work.

True, but suspending the ONE thing that got us here, THE RULE OF LAW, NOT MEN, is not the answer!! Without that, we are already just another Banana Republic, soon to have the same standard of living, as all the other Banana Republics!! Immigration laws CAN BE CHANGED AS NECESSARY, THROUGH THE LEGISLATIVE PROCESS!!

The President (whomever is in Office) has little control about anything themselves. It is 'Homeland Security', 'Immigration & Customs Enforcement (ICE)', and ultimately the 'DOJ' that are failing their mission in enforcing our border security. Congress is still the only one that controls the purse strings that funds these organizations, so again, it's Congress that has failed the American people while continuing to use the media to shift the blame onto others.

Bwahahahaha - Biden cannot even direct himself (because of age and infirmity) so how can you even think that he is personally directing the going-ons of the FBI, ICE, DOJ, or any other three-letter (dis)-organization. I do agree with you though that there are some, and more every day, Republicans that shift their loyalties, often multiple times back and forth, depending on how it affect their personal political careers.

No, Congress makes the laws, controls the purse strings, and by doing so controls the different agencies policies. You can have all the hatred you want for Biden or Democrats in general, but it's the DOJ under Congress that has repeatedly blocked the closure of our Southern border even when the Republicans held the Oval Office.

You are correct in that the sitting President (whomever that is) has been granted the right by Congress to appoint the leadership to certain agencies. Leadership that is under tremendous pressure by Congress to run their agencies in a way that Congress deems as being 'proper', by controlling the money that those agencies rely on for their day-to-day operation. Piss-off Congress and those agencies can find their budgets . . . lacking
