In 1995 I did not get a flu shot.I caught the flu that year and had 104 degree temperature.I was so hot I laid in the snow in a swimming suit and missed a week of work.I have gotten a flu shot every year since.

I always believed if everyone I know gets a flu shot then I didn't need to. Two years ago I ended up in the hospital with a combination of the flu and pneumonia, was in for 3 weeks none of which was fun. Wife and I went to Walgreens yesterday for our shots. Will see how it turns out.

Yes, that's exactly right. My most recent shot was last Wednesday, but that was already too late to be effective. I hope you get that bear out of you...

Was it the same strain that the flu shot contained? The flu shot only protects against 4 strains each year and there are hundreds out there. Last few years they have really not guessed right.

How do you know they didn't guess right? That's a pretty broad statement...
