We just got back Friday from a 10 day tour of the west. No reservations, no schedule.
Drove to Albuquerque, Santa Fe, and Aztec NM where we met friends that live in Aztec. Visited Telluride, Ouray, and Silverton.
Went back to Aztec, loaded up their boat and went to Lake Powell Utah for a couple days, then on to Moab Ut, to Arches National Park.
Lots of rocks up there. Not much dirt or trees.
Back to Aztec, then to Taos for a spell and home.

There's just something about the "West" that has always intrigued me. From the first time I remember going to visit relatives in the Cortez-Durango-Telluride, Colo.. to visiting friends in Gallup, NM...Flagstaff, Az...Las Vegas,NV...to relatives in Southern California. The West changed me.....for the positive. So much so, that I'm 99.999% sure my ashes will be scattered in Vegas.

Gotta love the West...

Cortez

Flagstaff

Just right outside Vegas...
NW of Vegas

NE of Vegas

West of Vegas

Can't forget...

Great Pics Cohiba! I'm making it a mission to get back out there with my ATV's. There is so much public land out there for riding access that its unbelievable.
We talked to two guys in their late 50's near Moab that had been riding the trails for over 200 miles over a period of three days. They had several fuel containers and camping gear on their ATV's.
Our friends that we boated with on Powell have ATV's and a Jeep with a 12,000 lb winch and rock undergear for trails. Unfortunately for us, they are leaving for a 4 month tour of Alaska in their RV in two weeks. and it will be snowfall on the trails before they get back, so it looks like next year for the trails.
I looked up Terry Millers Location when we were in Utah, but it was 4 hours from us.
