I cannot tell you how many times this has happened to me, but it happened again tonight.
"Mr. Bend, I clocked you at 73 and the speed limit is 65."
He sized me up and he decided "if I write this poor broke down hand to mouth sumbitch a ticket it could be the very last straw."
He wrote me a warning.
There but for the grace of God go I.
He told me about some other stuff that I needed to get corrected and I was nothing if not appreciative.
I remain on the loose. I really don't have a problem with the police.
