Thats one of the reasons I switched to Wavian steel cans. They come with a EPA spout but you can still buy the non old spouts

If you look on the internet, and even on YouTube, you can find "kits" that gives you a new spout and a vent that can be installed behind the handle of the fuel can. I've got two diesel 5-gallon containers that I've considered doing that with, but they are seldom used, so I'm not sure I'll bother.

EDIT: Here's a link to one. I'm pretty sure there are others out there.

EZ-Pour Hi Flo Replacement Spout Kit

If you look at all that is there, there are two different spouts and two different threaded collars. I think the two different collars are there because not all fuel containers have the same threads.

I only use the spouts as caps. I have one of the siphon hoses you can work up and down a few times and it will basically auto start. Leave the can sitting on the tailgate for something small or just set it on the toolbox in the bed for something larger. The added advantage is not trying to hold 30 pounds in the air while it fills.

When you start enlisting, let me know and I'll sign up. I've got at least $100 worth that I'm fixing to trow in the trash and that doesn't include the ones already thrown in. For my ZTR I'm going to a racing can. For everything else it's a Surecan.

I figured there would be replacements. Thanks. Still makes me mad because
Not one of the officials that voted for this mandatory stuff ever use the things.

I can't figure out how to use those damn things so it's just a cap on mine.

I don't imagine that any Congress-critters voted on this. They just gave the authority to the EPA to throw out nonsensical stuff like this in the form of "safety regulations." I blame the idiots that try to "throw" a bit of gasoline on a fire from a fuel container.

I have replaced my plastic can spouts with those, which are at Tractor Supply.
My Wavian stupid spill spout has started leaking so I am going to find the replacement for it. Thanks, I didn’t know they were available.
