The new UH 60 Blackhawk replacement - a difficult choice

The sikorsky models rotor is considerably higher than a Blackhawk. Havnt seen a vid of how the rotor folds so dont know
wasn't referring to height, but they were designed with transport in mind. I've read quite a bit on these, but can't point to any particular article backing this up.

V-22 suffers from high disk loading, I'm sure the 280 will as well.
Add that to the difficulty of mounting door guns.
SB-1 shares the T55 with the CH-47, which already has a 715 variant under development.

Either design has its niche, but I honestly don't think either is capable of fleet replacement for the UH-60.
Heck, we still have 60-As flying.

Heck, we still have 60-As flying.
And the UH-60 is so good, the Chinese have made their own copy, the Z-20. Claimed to be their own design but look at it.

This guy flew into our Jaycees airshow and WWII B-29 reunion in 1991. He was from Pratt and a Coast Guard H60 pilot. I don't know how he proposed this to his commander flying to a Kansas air show, from Florida but he did.

His arrival was totally unexpected and a good static display as an attraction. We also got to meet his folks.
