I don't get it.
Why do people (democrats) want to pander to these people?

Democrat politicians have sold their souls, our country, our children and our freedom for a voting block of illegal criminal mexicans. If/when the socialist democraps take the whitehouse, congress and senate; not a person on this site other other freedom loving sites will escape their wrath.

They will find out the hard way that not every one will just roll over and give up.

Council member Anne Mavity, who sponsored the rules change, told KARE 11 that she didn’t feel saying the pledge was necessary, especially for non-citizens.

"Not everyone who does business with the city or has a conversation is a citizen," she said. “They certainly don't need to come into city council chambers and pledge their allegiance to our country in order to tell us what their input is about a sidewalk in front of their home.”

If they are not willing to become an American citizen or legal immigrant who respects our traditions, laws, and culture then they need to go home, legal or not, and they certainly should not be doing, or have business with the city council. I'm all for legal immigration, travel, business and treating people with dignity and respect. But do not come to the United States of America (or any other country for that matter) and expect us to change our traditions, laws, or culture to suite you and your ways. Assimilate to our culture, traditions and laws or leave!

Now for those people who are in government positions, if you feel that our traditions and culture are not worth protecting and preserving then you can leave as well, go live in one of the other 190 plus countries in the world. Maybe one of them will fit your needs. There is no reason for you to put a non citizen's perception and feelings above those of your countries citizens. Treat them as a person worthy of respect and dignity, absolutely! But change our traditions and norms? Absolutely not!
