Mossy for the win just simply based on the safety... I like my 870, but the mossy is my goto.

I hate the safety behind the trigger and the 870 does not fit me at all. Thats from growing up on a Winchester. They are both fantastic shotguns but I would have to pick the Moss.

Have owned both. Both are good to go. Currently own Mossy & had no problems for 8 yrs.

I cannot speak against either.

BTW, I have a Savage 12ga and a Marlin 12ga.
Both have served me well.

LOL, I'll put up my 1928 year model Model 12 Winchester against every pump gun mentioned. Of course, it's been brought up to new gun standards.
I'd never use a pump gun for home defense though.
