Well, I own 10 of these gems, and my opinion of them is vastly different than the pretty boy's. I will admit that I don't, and won't, own one made by S&W or one of the new ones out of Ft Smith. That horrendous enlarged tang ruins the lines of the gun for me, and many other Walther purists. My pistols are all post WWII West German or French (Manurhin) with the exception of two nicely engraved with gold plated parts made by Interarms. Those are just BBQ guns, although both function just fine. I know that here are plenty of "better" choices for a carry gun now, but for me, the Walther PPK is just fine. I typically carry a beautifully blued West German pistol in .380, but every now and then, I'll carry one in the lowly .32ACP caliber. I have a fairly rare PPK-L (lightweight) chambered in .32 ACP that is a joy to shoot, and carries very nicely too. Everybody is entitled to their own opinion, and mine is that these are exceptionally well made guns and not hard to look at either.
