I'm sure this has been covered a million times already but if I bought a SBR upper what all song and dance to I have to go thru to legally push the receiver pins thru it?
You need to do the song and dance first before you get the upper.

Ok so if I bought the SBR upper I'm in the wrong without having the registered lower first? I know it is illegal to put the two together without going thru all proper steps.
Its best to just not have it at all until your Form 1 is back in your hands.
If you've got a friend with a registered lower, you can always keep your upper at their house so you can at least shoot it while you wait for your paperwork.

Sounds good. What do you guys figure the cost of the registered lower to be with all the BS paperwork that goes along with it?
