Here’s a notification we received at work. Guess they’re not down with all this free range pot growing and use. Drug & Alcohol Policy

All employees are subject to the Xxxs’ D&A Policy, and all employees and non-employee workers are subject to random and reasonable searches of an individual’s or the company’s property while on Xxx property or engaged in company business, as well as reasonable suspicion D&A testing.
Xxxx prohibits employees from concealing, selling, transporting, distributing, or possessing illegal drugs or other controlled substances, as defined by federal or state law, while on duty or on Xxxxs property. It is also a violation of Xxxs’ policy to be under the influence of alcohol, unauthorized prescription drugs, or illegal drugs, to engage in the illegal use of other controlled substances, or to be impaired by any substance while on duty or on Xxxxs’ property.
Personnel is advised to use caution when using any products or supplements that have not been evaluated by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), including CBD oil. The manufacturing and purification processes for CBD products are generally unregulated, and CBD products commonly contain other cannabinoids, such as THC, the principal psychoactive compound of marijuana. Department of Transportation regulations prohibit the use of marijuana for any reason. Claiming use of a CBD product as the cause of a positive test will not change the result of the test. As a result, employees that test positive for a banned substance or otherwise violate a D&A program as a result of using a CBD product will be subject to disciplinary action as described in the D&A program requirements.
Violations of this policy may result in disciplinary action, up to and including termination.
