Not bashing anyone here but please if possible put your item you want to sell on a contrasting plain background so we can see the glorious item ho have to sell.

I have seen a lot of items pictured with backgrounds that are way too busy visually to get a good look at the item. This reduces time and effort on both parties in the sale by having to request more pictures and the hassle of having to take further photos.

    Just my two cents.

My problem is, I find alot of items for sale or trade that i would be interested in but no one wants to ship. I dont get it with it being so easy to ship most items thru USPS these days and never have to leave home to do it. Now firearms i can understand it being a little bigger hassle and all some people dont want to mess with it.

I don't see why if the buyer pays for shipping.

So how do you do that in a way that the seller isn't @ risk and the buyer isn't @ risk?

My 2 cents , have a picture of the slide locked back on semiautomatics so buyers can see the amount of finish wear on the barrel.

...or the pictures are out of focus or lack critical details to make an informed purchase decision. If you want to sell a $700 item, take $700 value pictures.

Also if you want to sell anything other than a Taurus, Hipoint, Jennings or $370 AR please keep your feet out the photos. No on wants to see your feet.

You know, I could start providing a service to the fine OSA folks. Bring said firearm to me, along with at least one box of ammo, and I could take pictures for the member. (The ammo is needed for testing purposes so that all OSA members are assured that said firearm is in proper working order.) Oh, and the seller would also be responsible for range fees for the testing.
