DEI needs to DIE, asap. The problem in this case isn't DEI initiatives to benefit employees and consumers. The problem is spending X dollars to obtain Y ESG score, in order to be considered "compliant" for stock trading purposes. It's a giant grift that's perpetuated by places like BlackRock, State Street, Vanguard and others. It's giant money firms putting their thumbs on the scales and deciding who wins and who loses, all on what they're willing to give up in order to be on the good list and not the naughty list. The worst part is they use YOUR money to accomplish their mandates. Whether it's higher consumer goods prices, your 401K investment or lower returns on individual stocks you may own in certain companies and industries, such as firearms and ammunition.

If you have the option to resist the ESG grift, it is morally and ethically wise to do so.
Yeah! What he said. These bankster owned mega-entities require that huge companies chase away lifelong/generational customers simply because we know what a woman is, that there's only 2 genders, 1st graders are not gay, and grown men in high heels and makeup have no place in the ladies room or army. Especially if they're pregnant or on the rag. We don't need an attorney general who won't defend our own country or knows what a border is, a male health secretary who insists it's a female and that little boys need their peepees chopped off because of any reason besides maybe getting crotchbit by cobra....or a horrendous accident involving a 48" chainsaw or one of those landmines our deviant Senators love to export to places that no longer accept US $s while a suck-cession of crazy old, rubber masked pedo-coots do everything possible to make the $ worth less than Weimar marks! Which is what they'll pay for these, now worthless, former icons of American industry....guns, beer, food, ...whatever.
America LAST!!!!!
Whew, hard to type on this tiny device...but the real kicker is that WE are sposta feel ashamed and apologize for even noticing!
And, now: old mean men like me who never supported this insanity, and who've made some really bad lifestyle choices.....and still do....have to poke our head out of our private old snapping turtle shells and become moral leaders. THATs how bad this is!
The ethical standards of us old outlaws are vastly superior to those of our self important, self appointed, selfish (mis)leaders.
At least we only wrecked ourselves and other consenting adults....but the universe has ways of paying us all back.
These jokers may not have invented evil, but when the pendulum swings back, it'll be the pits for them. Just a reference to an old Vincent Price movie... I think based on an Edgar Allan Poe tale.
I know I do a lot of verbose ranting, and really need to attend to other things, but I can tell many of you feel the same sentiments. We all know the difference between Right and just plain-ass WRONG, and the sooner we make that perfectly clear to these imaginary 'powers', the sooner Life will be better than ever.
Either way: we're all dying, so let's make our, 'What did you do in dubya dubya 3'? Story something really cool.... cuz we're history too.

@NomDeBoom i understand what you’re getting at and yes we as Americans should be willing to stand up for for what’s right. But i think perhaps you’re consuming a bit too much right wing propaganda.. for example I haven’t heard of a single kid in any of my childrens schools getting any sex changes or using other gender bathrooms, etc… I’m sure it happens some in liberal areas but man don’t wear yourself out over it. It’s not all so bad.

Also, like @OKRuss said.. pretty much every major company operates similar. DEI/pro LGBT and all. What are we really supposed to do? A few old farts on OSA not buying chicken feed and garden hoses from TSC doesn’t amount to much.

Cool.
You do you, and I'll do me, and every chance I get to undo them, I'll take it.
Especially when "Every major company operates similar"!

I feel ya, that is noble. Fight the good fight! I guess in my situation having a family/young kids I wind up being more “mainstream” than I’d really like to be.

Id be fine 90% unplugged from mainstream corporate society, not own a TV, live on an acreage in the middle of nowhere, go to town once a month for supplies(not from TSC lol) etc

I pretty much stopped watching TV when they started charging for it (cable in the 90s). Sometimes I turn on the tornado weather fear porn or watch the predictive programming adult(er)ated cartoons..,Fox Sunday night, like the Simpsons. But I see it as dangerous mind control that turns brains to mush. I know old people who are complete morons with every facet of their lives totally dictated by false news, fake history, toxic drug commercials, stupid games, and other useless drivel. Remember the TVs big push to murder Humanity? Literally every 3 seconds it mentioned COVID, the disease/virus, shot/injection. TV is far worse than useless, it's a plague unto itself. The best thing on TV is a thick coat of dust. TV makes you 'Normal' and that type of controlled mind is very dangerous to everyone. Look up the real history and intent of the 'programmers'. It's all in plain sight, on display everywhere, and the one eyed monsters get bigger, bolder, and more invasive every week. Now they listen to, speak to, and watch you. Wanna have your whole existence owned & operated by a stupid box? Be a TVs slave. Just sit and stare, it's knows what you want. People pay way more than just another monthly bill.
Scary shI+, tel lie vision.

You've got to wade thru plenty of b s [and now ads] on what's left of the net too, but it still has it's treasure spots.

We have a Tractor Supply in the small town near our home where we now live in southeast Alabama. I needed some threaded pipe fittings for a water tank and made the mistake of going in there to get them. The paltry assortment of fittings provided more empty shelves than actual fittings and what was there were was in the wrong locations. I took the time to see the ‘Lady’ Manager to discuss the problem. She explained very clearly that the threaded fittings were handled by a ‘Vendor’; so, the disarray in the fittings area was not their responsibility LMAO!

I was at my extremely local Atwood's, and had a nice talk with a very conscientious gentleman who was sitting on the floor diligently sorting out all the mixed up plumbing fittings that people had tossed back into the wrong bins. I remarked that it looked worse than the toy aisle at Walmart on Christmas. The man wasn't a "vendor", just a regular employee doing a good service and a good job.
I was in the store again about a week ago, buying some small bolts and didn't know about the unpriced color coded hardware, and the clerk didn't know either, because the label gave only an approximate weight. The checkout ladie had to call in a young kid who informed us that all the red, blues, green, etc .. colored pieces are sold by weight. I got a small bag of mixed bolts for only .55 cents. Before I left, I went back to teach the original guy who helped me find them what we all just learned.
I may be the only old man that didn't know about color coded hardware by now- but if anyone else didn't know, ya do now.
The moral(s) of this story are that we are never too young or old to learn the basics, and that: if you want blue nuts, cheap, go to Atwood's.
P S- as an extra learning bonus, I just figured out (while typing this) that it's not necessary to use the spacebar between every damn word on this teeny device!
I really need to get a larger, more useful computer, as my last one OD'd on the Latest Technology.....or whatever.
