Does anyone in the Tulsa area have positive experience using a tig welder to weld a muzzle brake on the barrel of a shotgun? I was looking at the Molot Vipr's at FBT, and that would be a deal breaker for me if I couldn't shorten the barrel enough for a 4-5" muzzle brake, welded in place, to bring it back up to the legal minimum. Pinning and welding probably wouldn't work due to the thin wall of the barrel; with people saying they can tig weld on aluminum soda cans, I'd think that would work on a barrel. FBT doesn't have the equipment; does anyone around here have it?

Don't know about today but in years past it just had to be non-removable which meant "Hi-temp silver solder" was OK.
Not the "low temp" stuff because it could be twisted off sometimes. Besides when you reblue it, it leaves a purty gold ring.
