Finished, completed all but one of the 32 tasks in 8 hours 40 minutes. It was roughly 16 miles. After penalties and bonuses. Final time was 8 hours and 48 minutes. Though, i was one of the first to start. Only 4 others had finished before me and there was about 35 still out with less than an hour of light left. Weapons: an AR with a 4x ACOG and a Glock 19. Ammo 300 rounds M885 and 200 rounds 9mm ball. I used a Tactical Tailor Malice pack with HSGI Ali pad. The pack weighed 50 pounds. Total gear weight with rifle, pistol, ammo on belt and butt pack, 65 pounds. By far the most weight i've carried for that distance. The exact total weight was heavier for sure. It rained for the first 4 hours. I was soaking wet all day, even with the rain gear. The mud was a challenge unto its self. Deep and clingy. ____ I'm going to break this into three sections. Basically how we were given the info. Conditions. Rained all night and the first four hours. The laps (Tabbing) through the field and woods were extremely muddy and the low spots were filled with water. It only got worse as the day progressed. It really could not have been any worse. Lap #1. About 4 miles. Hike half mile with gear. Stage #1, Moving target. 200 yards, 30 shots, 1 minute. Hit 23 of 30. Stage #2 Clear mine field. Hit simulated mine with tannerite. 50-100 yards. Hit on first shot. Time stated 0825. Hike back to obstacle course. Stages 3-9. 3. 8ft chain link fence. 4. 4ft wall 5. 6ft wall 6. Roof line 7. Window 8. 8ft wall 9. Attic way. Cleared all but the Attic way. Only stage failure. My grappling hook broke. By this time I was physically spent and not able to pull myself up without my Alpine aiders. Stage #10 Tied up. Get free of flex cuff, behind back. I was able to get to my knife Stage #11 IZZY Gang Mob. Knock down 5 pistol targets 30 seconds. Stage #12 Tabbing out #1. (4 mile hike) Stage #13-15 during hike. #13 Fence breach. Cut a piece of chain link. Bring with you. Used my multi-tool #14 Chopping Wood. Cut a 6 inch length of 4 inch wood. Bring with you. Used my folding saw. #15 Dark Shadow. Read a message at the end of a piece of PVC pipe. Had a flash light. Stage #16 Inclement Weather. (Like we needed that). Rifle, 20 rounds, 25-30 yards kneeling, "A" zone hits on an IPSC target while under a sprinkler. Hit 19/20 By this time it had stopped raining and i was drying out. After, i was completely soaked again. Stage #17 Bad ride in Helicopter Rifle 5 clay targets 25 yards. Pistol 10 steel targets about same distance. Stage #18 Tight rope/net. Climb cargo net (10 feet) with gear. Than it was a form of a two rope bridge. With all gear. About 30 feet. Stage #1 and #16 were the only shooting stages that you were scored on. The rest were Go/NoGo
