True. We were using tire mounting machines and removing the cores from the valve stems to increase the air flow.I thought about 3M weatherstirip adhesive. That stuff will glue any damn thing! But it may setup before I could get air back into it.
Back in the day of early mag wheels, a little gasoline on the bead as inflating them would help the seal. Sounds like you have something more than that going on. Sure you have the right tire/rim combination? Tube would be an easy fix.
