concrete wire mesh tied in a circle 5' tall. after that they are on their own.
This is what we have used for 30 years. T post driven into the ground around each cage and secured with baling wire to prevent wind blowing over cage.
One could use nylon ties.
Indertiminate vines have grown out the top and reached the ground, still producing.

i used welded wire like you put in cement. cut a piece roll it into a tube and tie the ends. put a t post next to the cage and wire cage to post. neve had one fall over. works for pole beans too.
Growing pole beans we use 18’ cattle panels put into an arch that one can walk under to pick the beans hanging down.
T posts to secure the bases so they stay in place. Cucumbers get the same treatment.

My wife always wants me to cage the tomatoes and the harvest is always poor compared to letting them vine out on the ground.
24+ feet long tomato vines on the ground is what I usually end up with.
You must wade through the vines and flip them over to find the tomatoes.

I do like the arch idea.

I have no luck growing tomatoes; none at all. For some reason, all seems to be going fine until the grasshoppers "come home to eat" and the next morning, I have tomato sticks.

I have tomato plants. No tomatoes. Every time I get a tomato on the vine some little grubby multilegged thingy comes along and invades it or eats it. I need to hire a Brinks truck.

I use the concrete reinforcement wire also. Will last a long time. You can also use cattle panels formed into a V and let the tomatoes grow up between them, no tying.
