Neurotin or a similar pain med. You will need to see your Dr for that. Ice might work for temporary pain relief. You Diabetic or have a spinal injury?

Neurotin helps a little, but some days nothing helps.

I've tried several meds but none do much to ease the pain.

Well Shes a PT not a DR. Specializes in muscular skeletal issues, Not Neuro issues. Keep going to the DR till you find what works best. unfortunately, with neuro pain, meds are about the best they can do. Some meds work for some while others don't.

If you have a spinal injury, exercise and stretching might help a lot. If you're diabetic, it wont
