I have purchased a vintage wooden violin case with intentions to use it for my Tommy gun. It is in dire need of repair and restoration. Does anyone know of someone that might be able to restore the violin case?

You could gut the inside and take it to a shop near h&h to put foam in it for your gun. If you want to go back with velvet or another soft cloth I would call around to every used musical instrument shop in the metro and would bet you could find someone.

as for the outside I would think you could fix that with some spray paint and elbow grease.

You will need to strengthen the handle loops.
Violin cases were so Hollywood, in that they were made to carry a 1 pound violin not a 10 pound gun.

Are you wanting the outside to look original? I dunno what you are thinking but it'd be pretty cool to cover it in leather and maybe tool it out. Just my opinion.
